Brett Allen is a passionate and unconventional Australian metal sculptor whose work is born from instinct, curiosity, and decades of hands-on experience. Brett’s fascination with wings and flight from a young age evolved into a lifelong pursuit of creating striking metal forms. He has cast over ten tons of bronze throughout his career, with his sculptures scattered across the world — each piece an unpredictable, organic process where the next step reveals itself only as the work unfolds.

Brett calls himself a "shape maker" before an artist, blending metal, glass, and imagination into forms that outlast generations. In an age of mass production, Brett’s work stands as a lasting mark — a scratch in time — made by hand, heart, and pure creative instinct.

Pegasus – Where Myth Meets Metal

Standing 5.2 metres tall and stretching 8 metres wide, Pegasus is one of Brett Allans most ambitious and awe-inspiring creations. Commissioned as a centrepiece for a private property, the sculpture was hand-built over nine months — six hours a day, five days a week — bringing to life the power and elegance of myth through pure craftsmanship and instinct.

True to Brett's process, the piece wasn't designed on paper. It evolved organically, each element guiding the next until the final form revealed itself. The eyes alone were cast nine times in different colours — a detail Brett poured himself into, ensuring the sculpture had a sense of life and spirit.

Built entirely by hand from stainless steel, Pegasus is more than a sculpture — it's a landmark. A timeless, weather-hardened installation that commands presence and invites wonder.
